Grand Master

Profile

The Grand Master is the highest spiritual authority in the Jedi Order. The role leads the Council, preserves doctrine, and anchors the Order in deep crisis.

Function

• Guardian of tradition and final adviser to the Council.
• Voice of the Force when politics and duty collide.
• Symbolic figure for Padawans and initiates.

Why it matters

Yoda makes the rank legible, and Luke Skywalker carries it forward after the Empire. Understanding the Grand Master clarifies how the Order seeks continuity across eras.
