Profile

The Galactic Empire was the dictatorial government that emerged after the fall of the Galactic Republic. Under the leadership of Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader, it terrorized the galaxy for over two decades.

Founding

After the end of the Clone Wars, Palpatine betrayed the Republic and made himself Emperor. He used the fear of the Rebellion to gain total control — and the citizens acquiesced out of fear or consent.

The Structures

The Death Star

The ultimate weapon of the Empire — a moon-sized space station with the ability to destroy entire planets. Built with the resources of millions of worlds.

The End

The Empire fell at the Battle of Endor, where the second Death Star was destroyed and Emperor Palpatine was killed by his own apprentice Darth Vader.
