Pong Krell

Profile

Pong Krell was a Jedi General in the Clone Wars, infamous for his betrayal on Umbara. He is not a classic Sith Lord, but he is an important example of a Jedi sliding toward the dark side.

Why Krell matters

Krell shows the moral pressure of the Clone Wars. His contempt for clones and opportunism make him a counterexample to Jedi such as Obi-Wan, Ahsoka, or Plo Koon.

Context

For Sith research, Krell is useful because he marks the line between fallen Jedi, dark-side alignment, and actual Sith membership.
