Mandalore
Profile
Mandalore is the homeworld of the Mandalorians and one of the galaxy’s most important cultural symbols. It stands for armor traditions, clan politics, beskar and the conflict between pacifist reform and warrior identity.
Political role
During the Clone Wars, Duchess Satine Kryze leads Mandalore as a neutral pacifist world. Groups like Death Watch reject that path and push to restore an older warrior tradition.
Imperial control
After the Empire rises, Mandalore loses autonomy. The Empire exploits internal divisions, controls beskar resources and later punishes resistance through the Great Purge of Mandalore.
Return in The Mandalorian
In the New Republic era, Mandalore becomes a goal for scattered clans. Bo-Katan Kryze, Din Djarin and other Mandalorians try to reconnect homeworld, myth and leadership.
Why it matters
Mandalore explains why Mandalorian characters are never just lone fighters. Behind every helmet is a question: is culture defined by birth, creed, armor or shared return?
