Jedi Temple on Coruscant

Definition

The Jedi Temple on Coruscant is the center of the Jedi Order during the prequel era. Younglings, Padawans and Knights train there while the High Council makes decisions.

Fall of the temple

During Order 66, Anakin Skywalker attacks the temple with the 501st Legion. The assault marks the visible collapse of the Jedi Order.

Symbolism

The temple represents knowledge, discipline and closeness to the Force — but also the Order’s blindness to Sidious operating right outside its door.
