Imperial Navy

Profile

The Imperial Navy is the backbone of imperial power projection. It combines Star Destroyers, TIE fighters, capital-ship classes and imperial ground power into a galaxy-wide pressure tool.

Structure

• Star Destroyers as mobile main bases
• TIE fighters and TIE bombers as mass weapons
• Death Squadron task forces under Darth Vader and Tarkin
• Imperial Inquisition as internal security service

Strategy

The Navy is the operational arm of the Tarkin Doctrine: presence, deterrence, response in hours instead of days.

Why it matters

The Imperial Navy defines the playing field for the Rebellion, smugglers and neutral worlds. Once you understand it, you understand why cells, hyperspace routes and alliances matter so much.
