Zabrak

Profile

Zabrak are horned humanoids with a high pain threshold. They originate on Iridonia, while a second branch grew up on Dathomir under Nightsister influence.

Key figures

• Darth Maul: Sith warrior and later crime lord of Mandalore.
• Savage Opress: Maul’s brother, augmented by Mother Talzin.
• Eeth Koth: Jedi Master and council member of the late Republic.

Culture

Iridonian Zabrak rely on tribal systems and ritual proofs; Dathomiri Zabrak fuse Sith magic, Nightsister rites and physical enhancement. That dual nature gives the species real dramatic range.

Why they matter

Zabrak supply Jedi role models, Sith villains and crime-lord arcs on one species line. Understanding Maul explains why Star Wars couples the dark side, politics and revenge so tightly.
