Wayfinder explained
Reading time: 5 min
Definition
A wayfinder is an ancient Sith navigation device that unlocks the path to Exegol. Without one, the planet is effectively unreachable.
Known pieces
Episode IX features two wayfinders: one held by Kylo Ren, one inside the second Death Star wreck on Kef Bir. Rey only obtains hers after Ben’s help and her break with Palpatine’s plan.
Why it matters
The wayfinder explains how Palpatine’s secret Sith world stayed hidden for decades. It turns Exegol from a random hideout into a planned final refuge.
