Sith Order

Reading time: 5 min

Profile

The Sith were the opposing order to the Jedi — followers of the dark side of the Force who sought absolute power. Their philosophy was based on passion, aggression, and the use of negative emotions.

The Rule of Two

The Sith followed the Rule of Two: there may only be two Sith — a master and an apprentice. The apprentice should kill the master when strong enough — and then train his own apprentice.

This philosophy ensured that every Sith became stronger than the previous one.

History

The Sith began as a rival splinter group of the Jedi — originally native to Moraband. After a war with the Jedi, they were nearly wiped out before they recovered.

The Grand Masters

  • Darth Bane — The founder of the Rule of Two
  • Darth Plagueis — The master of Sidious (who killed him according to rumors)
  • Darth Sidious / Palpatine — The last Sith master
  • Darth Maul, Count Dooku, Darth Vader — The apprentices

The Dark Side

The dark side offered power but demanded a price. Those who used it were consumed by their negative emotions and ultimately destroyed by them — or by their own apprentices.
