Rebel Alliance

Definition

The Rebel Alliance (Alliance to Restore the Republic) is the political and military coalition of every anti-Imperial cell. It emerges from scattered groups around Mon Mothma, Bail Organa, Luthen’s network and veterans like Saw Gerrera.

Importance

The Alliance formalizes what Andor builds in loose cells: shared command structure, logistics and political language. Without it, neither Rogue One nor the Battle of Yavin is possible.

Why it matters

Understanding the Alliance shows the bridge from Andor through Rogue One into Episode IV. It is the moment resistance turns into a recognized war effort.
