Pyke Syndicate

Definition

The Pyke Syndicate is one of the major criminal organizations in the galaxy. The Pykes control large parts of the spice trade, work with Crimson Dawn at times and appear across The Clone Wars, Solo, The Book of Boba Fett and other underworld stories.

Context

The Pykes are not a classic Sith or Imperial enemy; they are an economic power. Their strength comes from supply chains, protection rackets and control of drug routes. That links places like Kessel, figures like Maul and conflicts in the Mando era.

Why it matters

If you read Star Wars only through Jedi and Empire, you miss the underworld. The Pyke Syndicate shows how crime, politics and war overlap: spice funds fleets, syndicates buy loyalty and local disputes can have galactic consequences.
