The Old Republic

Profile

The Old Republic epoch covers millennia of galactic history before the films, characterized by massive wars between vast armies of Jedi and Sith.

The Sith Wars

During this era, the Rule of Two did not exist; the Sith Empire was immense, commanding its own armies and armadas. Monumental conflicts like the Great Sith War and the Mandalorian Wars ravaged the galaxy. Worlds such as Coruscant, Taris, and Malachor V were battlegrounds of devastating scale.

The Fall

The era ended roughly a millennium before Episode I with the presumed extinction of the Sith and the reformation of the Republic and the Jedi Order. This ushered in the thousand-year peace of the modern Galactic Republic.
