Nite Owls

Profile

The Nite Owls are a Mandalorian group centered on Bo-Katan Kryze. They emerge from the Death Watch orbit but later reject Maul’s rule over Mandalore.

Bo-Katan Kryze

Bo-Katan is the defining Nite Owls figure. Her loyalty belongs to Mandalore and to a form of Mandalorian leadership that accepts neither Satine’s pacifism nor Maul’s outsider rule.

Role in Clone Wars and Rebels

In The Clone Wars, the Nite Owls fight Maul’s control of Mandalore. In Rebels and later The Mandalorian, their conflicts continue through the Darksaber and questions of legitimacy.

Why it matters

The Nite Owls show that Mandalorian factions are rarely simply good or evil. They represent loyalty, violence, anti-Imperial resistance and the hard question of who deserves to lead Mandalore.
