Mandalorian Clans

Definition

The Mandalorian clans are extended families that together form the people of Mandalore. Clan is more than blood — speak the oath and you become family.

Main currents

• Traditional warriors: Backbone of the warrior culture and House Vizsla.
• Reform Mandalorians: Pacifist branch led by Duchess Satine Kryze.
• Death Watch: Militant splinter group, later under Pre Vizsla, then taken over by Maul.
• Children of the Watch: Strict sect Din Djarin belongs to — never remove the helmet in front of strangers.

Political consequence

Clan fractures leave Mandalore vulnerable for generations. The Great Purge exploits these splits rather than healing them.

Fan relevance

The clans explain why Bo-Katan, Din Djarin and Sabine Wren keep clashing: they all walk the Way, but each Way is a different verse of the same oath.
