Makashi (Form II)

Definition

Makashi is the classic Jedi and Sith dueling form: precise blade work, a balanced stance, deliberate thrusts and lateral footwork instead of wide swings.

Effect

It dominates one-on-one combat but loses ground against blaster fire and chaotic battles. Tempo control is the form’s main weapon.

Relevance to the saga

Count Dooku is the showcase Makashi user. Asajj Ventress and Temple Guards borrow its principles for their own duels.
