Lothal
Overview
Lothal is an Outer Rim planet of grasslands, steppes, mountains and a growing Imperial industry. As Ezra Bridger’s homeworld and the central stage of Star Wars Rebels, Lothal becomes the first free world of a new rebel generation.
Geography
Open plains, rock formations, hidden Jedi temples and Imperial industrial sites define Lothal. Loth-cats and loth-wolves belong to the local wildlife, with the loth-wolves carrying a strong Force connection that becomes central to Ezra’s arc.
Rebels and the Empire
In Star Wars Rebels, the Empire uses Lothal as an industrial and testing world for TIE fighters. The Ghost crew — Hera Syndulla, Kanan Jarrus, Ezra Bridger, Sabine Wren and Zeb — frees the planet and turns the Lothal sector into a key Rebellion axis.
Ahsoka link
In Ahsoka, Sabine Wren, Ahsoka Tano and other central figures return to Lothal. The planet remains a key stage for stories that bridge Rebels, the Galactic Civil War and the New Republic era.
Significance
Lothal proves that the Rebellion is not only forged in Yavin and Hoth hangars but also in the steppes of a single world, through young heroes, a chosen crew and a loth-wolf.
