LAAT gunship

Profile

The LAAT gunship is the clone army’s assault transport. It brings troops into combat, supports landings and defines the visual language of the Clone Wars.

Function

LAATs are not elegant hero machines. They are workhorses: troops in, troops out, fire support, evacuation, next mission.

Geonosis and Clone Wars

In Attack of the Clones, the LAAT already feels like the opening signal of a larger war. In The Clone Wars, it becomes a familiar front-line image.

Why it matters

The LAAT connects Jedi adventure with military reality. When it appears, diplomacy has usually become a battlefield.
