Profile
The Inquisitorius is a secret order of former Jedi, broken and turned by the Empire — and especially by Darth Vader — to hunt down surviving Jedi after Order 66.
Founding
After Order 66, Palpatine knew the standard clone machine would not find every hidden Jedi. He handed Vader the job of “breaking” former Jedi — through torture, drugs and the Fortress Inquisitorius on Nur.
Ranks
- Grand Inquisitor — a former Jedi Temple guard, main antagonist in Rebels season 1
- Numbered inquisitors — Second, Fifth, Seventh, Eighth Sister and others
- Apex — Vader, formally and in the Force, sits above them all
Weapons
Inquisitors carry modified double-bladed lightsabers with a rotating red plasma ring. Their choreography is more aggressive than classic Jedi forms and emphasises dark-energy strikes.
Appearances
- Star Wars Rebels — Grand Inquisitor and Sisters hunt Kanan and Ezra
- Obi-Wan Kenobi — Reva (Third Sister) at the center of the series
- Jedi: Fallen Order / Survivor — Second Sister and Ninth Sister vs. Cal Kestis
Why they matter
The Inquisitorius is the most uncomfortable idea on the dark side: anyone who walks the dark path becomes the tool of an even darker master.
