Great Purge of Mandalore

Definition

The Great Purge of Mandalore is the Imperial assault that devastates the planet and forces Mandalorians into splintered groups.

Consequences

Most clans lose their footing. Beskar is stolen, the Darksaber ends up with Moff Gideon, and Mandalorians like Din Djarin only survive through hidden alliances.

Why it matters

The Purge is the emotional ground floor of The Mandalorian and Bo-Katan’s mission. Without it, Mandalore feels strangely empty in the Mando era.
