General Grievous

Definition

General Grievous is the supreme commander of the Separatist droid army and a feared Jedi hunter.

Role in the Clone Wars

Grievous keeps the war visibly military. While Dooku serves the political front, Grievous delivers attacks, kidnappings and duels that keep the Republic under pressure.

Symbolism

His collected lightsabers show that Jedi are vulnerable. At the same time, he is less Sith than war machine: useful, brutal and ultimately replaceable.
