Ferrix

Definition

Ferrix is Cassian Andor’s home world in Andor: a small industrial and salvage economy where recycling, smithing and guild culture shape daily life. The planet sits at the edge of Imperial attention until Cassian’s escape pulls the ISB in.

Importance

Ferrix shows how fast a place tips when the Empire switches from observation to occupation. Maarva’s funeral and the Ferrix funeral song become the spark: a memorial turns into open protest against soldiers and security.

Why it matters

If you want to understand Andor, start with Ferrix. The world explains how daily pressure becomes rebellion — and provides the stage where Cassian moves from smuggler to intelligence operative.
