Ewoks

Profile

The Ewoks are a furry tribal culture from the forest moon of Endor. They live in tree villages, hunt with spears, bolas and traps, and know their environment far better than any Imperial special forces unit.

Appearances

• Episode VI: They side with the Rebellion and wreck the Imperial shield bunker.
• Caravan of Courage: Early Ewok features that center their culture.
• The Mandalorian / Ahsoka: Subtle references back to Endor and its aftermath.

Culture

Logray is the shaman, Chief Chirpa the elder. Wicket W. Warrick is the emotional anchor who meets Leia and links the Ewoks to the Alliance.

Why they matter

Ewoks prove the central Star Wars thesis: a determined, locally rooted community can break an Imperial garrison. They are the underdog emblem of the original trilogy.
