Death Watch is a militant Mandalorian faction that rejects Mandalore’s pacifist government and demands a return to warrior tradition.

Conflict with Satine Kryze

Under Duchess Satine Kryze, Mandalore pursues neutrality and political reform. Death Watch sees that path as a betrayal of Mandalorian identity and works against her rule.

Maul and the Darksaber

During the Clone Wars, Death Watch temporarily allies with Maul. The plan collapses when Maul kills Pre Vizsla, takes the Darksaber and tries to control Mandalore himself.

Nite Owls split

Bo-Katan Kryze and the Nite Owls refuse to accept Maul’s rule. Death Watch therefore becomes the starting point for later Mandalorian fractures.
