Canon Anniversary

Definition

A Canon Anniversary marks years since Disney’s 2014 canon reset. It is useful as an annual moment to show how the new canon has grown — and what was preserved from Legends.

What is worth covering

Anniversary formats answer: which films, series, novels and games count? What was re-canonised from Legends (Thrawn, Nightsisters, Revan references)? Where does the new canon still contradict itself?

Tone

The moment is explanatory, not polemic. It helps new fans navigate between Canon and Legends without dismissing the older material.

Why it matters

Canon anniversaries create a slot for honest stock-takes. They give topics like Heir to the Empire, Old Republic and Knights of the Old Republic a fixed place in the calendar.
