Definition

Ataru is the acrobatic lightsaber form: leaps, spins and Force-assisted speed turn the user into a moving target and a fast aggressor at the same time.

Effect

The form is exhausting and risky in tight spaces. It performs best against single, static opponents and users without strong counter styles.

Relevance to the saga

Yoda’s duels against Dooku and Sidious and Qui-Gon Jinn against Maul showcase classic Ataru movement and Force jumps.
