The ancient Sith were the predecessors of the modern Sith Order, reigning over a massive, galaxy-spanning empire long before the Rule of Two was established.

Origins

Formed by rogue Jedi exiled during the Hundred-Year Darkness, the founders retreated to Moraband (Korriban) and subjugated the indigenous Sith species. On hidden worlds such as Exegol and Malachor, they practiced dark alchemy, constructed colossal temples, and perfected early kyber crystal superweapons.

Fall

The ancient Sith were ultimately undone by their own nature. Driven by the dark side’s inherent greed for absolute power, Sith Lords constantly betrayed and slaughtered one another, leading to their near-annihilation in the Jedi-Sith wars. From these ashes, Darth Bane established the Rule of Two to ensure their survival in the shadows.
