IG-100 MagnaGuard
Reading time: 4 min
Profile
The IG-100 MagnaGuard is General Grievous’s personal elite bodyguard line. Red cloak, yellow eyes, electrostaff instead of a blaster.
Anti-Jedi
The electrostaff uses phrik alloy — lightsaber-resistant. A MagnaGuard can absorb several strikes from a Jedi before going down.
Combat role
Grievous never travels with fewer than four MagnaGuards. In Revenge of the Sith they briefly stagger Obi-Wan before he cuts through them.
Why it matters
The MagnaGuard is the stylistic break with comic-rattle CIS droids — a cold, trained anti-Jedi killer.
