Krayt Dragon (bone iconography)

Definition

The krayt dragon is Tatooine’s largest predator. Its skeleton has lain in the desert since Episode IV — Obi-Wan uses its call to scare away Tuskens.

Role

In Mandalorian season 2 Din hunts a full-grown krayt — the pearl in its stomach becomes Mandalorian currency.

Symbolism

The krayt represents Tatooine’s wild mythology — something even the Tuskens must earn the right to defeat.
