C-3PO

Profile

C-3PO is the protocol droid fluent in over six million forms of communication — built by a young Anakin Skywalker on Tatooine.

Role

He’s the only character to appear in every one of the nine main films. He’s not the hero — he’s the anxious companion who carries critical information.

Symbolism

C-3PO is the bridge between droids and humans — and a reminder that Star Wars has always been about machines with personality.
