The B2 Super Battle Droid is the heavy-armoured, semi-autonomous next generation of the B1. Built-in arm cannons, twin blasters, thicker plating.
Combat role
First seen on Geonosis as shock infantry. Much harder to put down than the B1 — Jedi intervention is usually required to clear them efficiently.
Weaknesses
Poor AI, high cost, rigid command stack. The CIS never produces them in B1 numbers.
Why it matters
The B2 is the CIS answer to clone trooper advantage — heavy infantry against elite squads. Visually and sonically a Star Wars classic.
