B1 Battle Droid
Reading time: 4 min
Profile
The B1 Battle Droid is the basic infantry droid of the Trade Federation and the Confederacy of Independent Systems — the famous “Roger, Roger” walker.
Mass-produced
Useless one-on-one. Deadly in swarms. The CIS produces them by the billion — cheaper than clones, but strategically dumber.
Personality
In The Clone Wars individual B1s show surprising personality — slapstick, self-pity, even betrayal. A genuine highlight of the show.
Why it matters
The B1 is the face of the CIS war effort. Anyone who watched the prequels watched it die a million times.
