Ahch-To
Profile
Ahch-To is a half-forgotten ocean world at the edge of the galaxy. On one of its islands stands the first Jedi temple — a dark circular stone room said to be where the Force itself was first taught.
Geography
Ahch-To is almost entirely ocean. Steep, wind-beaten islands carry stairs cut into the rock, old huts of the Lanai, a library inside the uneek tree, and caves where the light and dark sides sit uncomfortably close together.
Luke’s exile
After the destruction of his new Jedi Order, Luke Skywalker hid on Ahch-To for years. He fished thala-sirens, avoided the Force — until Rey arrived holding his old lightsaber out toward him.
Rey and the tree
Rey trained under Luke on the cliffs of Ahch-To, secretly read the original Jedi texts, and watched the uneek tree burn. What she did not know: the important books were already hidden on the Millennium Falcon.
Porgs
The porgs are the birds of Ahch-To — small, curious, completely harmless. They became one of the most popular symbols of the sequel trilogy.
Why it matters
Ahch-To is the point where the saga returns to its origin: a single island, a single book, a single question — what does it actually mean to be a Jedi?
