Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker

Plot

One year after the events of Episode VIII, a shadow from the past emerges: Emperor Palpatine, supposedly dead, has returned – in a new form, in a new body.

Kylo Ren seeks to harness Palpatine’s power. Rey trains with Leia, who gives her last strength. The quest for a way to defeat Palpatine leads Rey to an old Luke file and a shocking truth about her heritage.

The Finale

In the final battle, Rey sacrifices her lightsaber to redirect Palpatine’s lightning back at him. Kylo Ren sacrifices himself to save Rey. The galaxy is free.
