Plot
The First Order pursues the Resistance after the loss of their base on D’Qar. While fleeing, Rey travels to Luke Skywalker on Ahch-To to learn from him – but the old Jedi has lost all hope.
Meanwhile, Poe Dameron leads a dangerous mission to save the Resistance, while Finn and Rose Tico hire a hacker to sabotage the First Order.

Snoke, the mysterious leader, is killed by Kylo Ren – a shock for everyone. He had connected Rey and Kylo through the Force to manipulate them.
Cultural Significance
Episode VIII divided opinions – some fans were disturbed by Luke’s dark moment, others celebrated the emotional depth. However, the visual effects and action sequences were universally praised.
