Family

Poe’s mother Shara Bey was herself an X-Wing pilot in the Rebellion — and befriended Princess Leia. His father Kes Dameron was a Rebel soldier.

The Escape from Jakku

Poe was captured and tortured by Kylo Ren — but he did not betray his comrades. He escaped with the help of BB-8 and became one of the Resistance’s most important pilots.

The Battle of Exegol

In Episode IX, Poe was the leader of the Resistance — and the one who called the galaxy to support. His leadership qualities made him the new leader.

Cultural Significance

Poe Dameron, played by Oscar Isaac, brought charm and heart to the Sequel Trilogy. His humor and bravery made him a fan favorite.
