General Grievous

Profile

General Grievous was a cyborg warlord who led the Clone Wars alongside the Separatists. He was infamous for his combat skills and his trophies — the lightsabers of fallen Jedi.

Origin

Grievous was originally a war leader from Kalee who was enslaved by the Hutts. General Loogan saved him by transforming him into a cyborg form to save his dying body.

The Lightsaber Collection

Grievous collected the lightsabers of the Jedi he had killed. He had four arms and could fight with all four simultaneously — a deadly combination.

The Death

In Episode III, Grievous was killed by Obi-Wan Kenobi. Obi-Wan was the only Jedi who knew Grievous’s fighting style — he had trained against him earlier.

Cultural Significance

Grievous was an iconic villain of the Clone Wars era — a brutal killer feared by the Jedi. His wheeze and breath mask made him unique.
